Miss & Mister Sweet Tea Contest 2019
Local young ladies and young men ages 5 through 18 are invited to participate in the Miss & Mister Sweet Tea Contest.
The crowning of the winner will be on Saturday, September 21, 2019 (Crowning will be somewhere in between the festival from 3 to 9 and will be announced closer to Festival).
This competition will select the 2019 Sweet Tea Royalty, who will serve as official Ambassadors to the 2019 Sweet Tea Festival on Saturday, September 21, 2019. Contestants must meet age requirements and reside in the greater Summerville Area.
The Miss & Mister Sweet Tea Contest is intended to be a fun event for all – no pageant experience required!
Entry fee $25 – Due upon submission of application.
Age Divisions – Miss / Mister in each category
5 to 7: Tiny Miss Sweet Tea / Mister Sweet Tea
8 to 10: Mini Miss Sweet Tea / Mister Sweet Tea
11 to 13: Junior Miss Sweet Tea / Mister Sweet Tea
14 to 18: Miss Sweet Tea / Mister Sweet Tea

Guidelines
Contestants will be classified into age and gender divisions based upon their age on Thursday, August 29, 2019.
Contestants must reside within a 20-mile radius of the town of Summerville.
Pageant organizers will not release information on names of contestants, or the number of contestants prior to the event.
Event organizers and judges will not release or discuss results or contestant scores. The decision of the judging panel is final. Contestants and their supporters are not to contact the judges.
Sweet Tea age division winners must be able to attend the Sweet Tea Festival Kick-off on Thursday, September 19, 2019 for their official crowning and introduction AND the Sweet Tea Festival on Saturday, September 21, 2019.

Sweet Tea winners are permitted to hold or compete for other titles. This contest is a community-based event and is not a preliminary to any other competition or systems.
Any actions that portray the winner of the Sweet Tea Festival program in a negative or embarrassing manner will result in the removal of the Sweet Tea title prior to the crowning of the next year’s winners. This decision will be made at the discretion of the event organizers.
Contestants must be of age by Thursday, August 29, 2019. If chosen to represent in one of the 5 age divisions, you must submit a copy of the contestant’s birth certificate for age
*Guidelines for Headshots
Headshots should be no larger than 8” x 10” and will not be returned. Headshots can be full color or black and white, but must show the contestant’s head and shoulders only. No full body photos will be accepted. It is strongly recommended that headshots are natural and age-appropriate with no heavy makeup or retouching.
